Early stages for childhood education, by The Old School House Day Nursery.
We have chosen to employ staff who are enthusiastic and passionate about working with children! This ensures that we can provide the best support and care for your child. Our team of friendly Early Years Practitioners are highly qualified to work with children, having our minimum requirement of qualification an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, most of our staff hold Foundation Degree’s and Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). All our staff hold an enhanced DBS check.
To continually improve our staff’s knowledge and skills we support them by providing ongoing learning and professional development in house. Our staff also receive thorough training in Safeguarding/ Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene.
Once your child has enrolled at our nursery and has settled in during their first few weeks, we will assign your child a key worker.
A Key Worker will offer familiarity to your child and one-to-one care during their time at nursery with us. Your child’s key worker will be responsible for meeting your child’s needs and tracking their learning and development through our online learning journal Tapestry. Your child’s key worker will also be your daily point of contact for any feedback and information that may need to be shared. We believe that it is very important to let our children help us identify during their first few weeks with us who they have built a friendship with, before we chose to assign keyworkers.
